Who we are....

We are a not for profit organisation managed by a volunteer committee under the auspices and rules of the QLD State Government’s Associations Incorporation Act 1981

What we do....

We represent the interests of Pacific Harbour canal property owners, who have joined the Association, in order to assist and facilitate with the resolution of any issues such as the canal system navigability, cleanliness and safety

Our Mission

To have a united voice for the majority of owners of property adjoining the Pacific Harbour Canal precinct to ensure they have optimal use, enjoyment, and privileges of their asset consistent with reasonable costs, environmental outcomes and the balanced benefit to the broader community of users

Meetings with City of Moreton Bay Council

We meet regularly (currently three times per year) with senior management responsible for maintenance services of the CMB’s waterways. Our Division 1 Councillor is normally in attendance. This provides a forum and direct voice for all members to alert Council of members’ concerns and issues

Facilitation in order to assist with issues

We understand the legal framework regarding canal property owners’, the CMB Council’s and Maritime Safety Queensland’s obligations within the canal precinct. We help members in resolving any issues such as canal cleanliness, navigation signage and
canal safety to name a few

Information flow to our Members

We have assembled historical data such as this picture above which shows how the canal walls were constructed at the start of the Pacific Harbour Canal development. We
share this information such as the age of their particular walls, the design criteria, recommended maintenance required and a host of other information via our Newsletters and Annual General Meeting
