Membership Frequently Asked Questions

There are several advantages to joining the Association:

  • We have an excellent working relationship with the City of Moreton Bay and can assist Members with issues they may have concerning navigation, canal cleanliness and revetment wall rock armouring to name a few
  • We have a database of information such as the age of the revetment walls, drawings and some design data which are available to members only
  • We help members who may require maintenance or repairs to their walls by facilitating contacts with the contractors who provide such services
  • We keep members updated with any issues which may affect them such as dredging campaigns via our regular newsletters

 No, you must be a registered owner of a canal property owner as per the title deed in order to become a member of the Pacific Harbour Canal Property Owners Association

General Questions about Canal Ownership

The property owner is responsible for the canal wall maintenance. Find more information here

 The City of Moreton Bay is responsible for the water quality, maintenance of the rock armouring at the heel of the revetment wail and the navigability of the canal system.

The regulated maximum speed is 6 knots but in addition to this you should not drive at any speed that will create a wake with a wave.
